The Schmetz Quick Threading Needle makes life easier here. This needle has a small slot on the side of the eye, which allows the thread to slide easily into the eye. To do this, slide the loop of thread along the right side of the needle until it slides through the slot into the eye.
The slightly rounded point ensures that many materials can be handled carefully without any problems and without being damaged.
Do not use the Quick Threading Needle when working with thin, fine materials as they can get caught in the slot and sustain damage as a result.
Do not use with sewing machines with an oscillating hook (CB hook) as the thread can slide out of the slot due to the unique movement pattern of this type of hook.
